about
Charlap Hyman & Herrero is an architecture and design firm based in New York and Los Angeles. Adam Charlap Hyman and Andre Herrero (b. 1989) are both graduates of the Rhode Island School of Design in Furniture Design and Art History (Charlap Hyman) and Architecture (Herrero). Thanks to their complementary backgrounds, the American duo approaches design from a holistic perspective. Charlap Hyman & Herrero imagine and execute spaces which are both unique and cohesive. Their designs include everything from furniture to textiles to site plans, succeeding through their head-to-toe approach in creating spaces that are separate worlds in and of themselves.
They were awarded the AIA|LA Emerging Practice Award in 2020, AN Interior 50 in 2018, 2019 and 2020. They were nominated in the AD100 for 2021 and Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2018.
