Violet Dennison (b. 1989, Bridgeport, CT) lives and works in New York. A multimedia artist, Dennison investigates paranoia, power and self-expression while exploring our relationship to the ecologically and technologically unstable world. In 2019 Dennison's solo show TELL ME HOW TO FEEL was on view at Kunsthall Stavanger, Norway. In the same year, she ranked among Forbes Magazine’s '30 Under 30' in the art & style category. 

Other important solo exhibitions include Freak Like Me (Theta, New York, 2021); Disappointment: Chapter Four (Kunstverein Freiburg, 2019); Transcend (Jan Kaps, Cologne, 2017). Her work has been shown at Simian, Copenhagen (2020); the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield (2019); New Museum Triennial, New York (2018); Main Project of the 6th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, Moscow (2018); Bureau, New York (2018); Union Pacific, London (2017); and David Zwirner, New York (2015). In 2020 Dennison took part in an online group exhibition titled Focus Group II: Paratexts at Von Ammon Co., Washington D.C., USA.
